My Counselling Philosophy

I strive to be realistic, down to earth and to ensure that I see the “big picture.” I ensure you feel heard and understood and that you leave each session having received clarification and direction.

I often ask clients “what do you have too much or not enough of?”

Laughter is an important part of my counselling sessions!

Your sessions with me may include Talk Therapy,  relaxation techniques, or Eye Movement Desentization and Reprocessing (E.M.D.R.).

I will  encourage you to be proactive and usually suggest some  “homework” which may include focusing on:

  • being kind to yourself
  • watching sentimental  movies
  • reading assignments
  • practicing specific strategies to help you deal with your issues
